Dying Light: The beast was a chance to work on one of my favorite franchises. I was assigned to the combat design team that supported the quest designers to deliver some of the best combats and stories in the game. It was quite a change of pace again from the peaceful journaling game that was Season to the zombie infested Castor woods.
I worked on several of the main quests:
The interrior combats in “Vengeance is mine”:
The fight with the patrol to obtain the radio in “Secrets in the air.”
Then the fight outside of the rich house, and the stealth sequence in the house itself in “School’s out “
The enemy placement and fights in “Cries trapped in the walls” after the escape from the asylum and the support enemies during the fight with the two Chimeras.
The stealth sequence in the lab for the gas canister in “The Bait and the Beast”:
And I also worked on several of the Side Quests
All the combat and stealth sequences in “Hydro Puzzle”
Also the combat and stealth sequences in the two part chain quest that is “Dead Beats” (Part 1)
And Good Vibrations (Part 2). For good vibrations we had to work closely with the Gameplay programmer team.
